UCT Science Faculty Highlights


November 1997

The three physics students at UCT from Venda all graduated this year:

Victor Makondelele Tshivhase was the first African student from UCT to graduate with a PhD in nuclear physics.

Azwinndini Muronga graduated with a MSc (with distinction) in theoretical physics, and has gone to University of Minnesota for further study.

Rudzani Nemutudi graduated with an MSc in physics, and won a prestigious Mandela scholarship to study at Cambridge University.
