  • PHY104W June test will be similar in form to the PHY121F June exam of 2004 (see link below). It will, however, only last TWO hours and the total will be 100 marks out of a maximum of 120 marks.
  • You will be required to do TWO out of THREE questions from Section A (the more descriptive / comprehension type questions) worth 20 marks each and all EIGHT long problems from section B worth 10 marks each.

Physics PHY104W (Introductory Physics) is the calculus based first-year course for science students who intend to proceed to higher physics courses. It is also suitable for mathematicians, astronomers, chemists, computer scientists and geologists. It consists of approximately 120 lectures, 16 laboratory sessions, and 8 tutorials. The course co-ordinator is Professor Craig Comrie Room 306, RW James Building. Lectures take place at 10.00 am, in Lecture Room B, RW James (Physics) Building, University Avenue.
