PHY1004W : Matter & Interactions

PHY1004W is a first-year, calculus-based introductory Physics course for Science students intending to continue with second-year Physics. It based on the Matter and Interactions curriculum.

PHY1012F : Physics A for Engineers

PHY1012F is the first-year, first-semester mechanics and thermodynamics half course for engineering students.

PHY1012S : Physics A for Engineers

PHY1012S is the first-year second-semester mechanics half course for engineering students, mainly for students who failed PHY1012F. PHY1012S and PHY1012F are equivalent.

PHY1013F : Physics B for Engineers

PHY1013F is the first-year, first semester electromagnetism, waves and optics half course for engineering students. Students entering this course should have passed, or have been given credit and exemption (CX) from, PHY1012S or PHY1012F. Many students will have previously attended, but not passed, PHY1013S.

PHY1013S: Physics B for Engineers

PHY1013S is the first-year, second semester electromagnetism, waves and optics half course for engineering students.

PHY1023H : Principles of Physics

Principles of Physics (Extended Degree programme)

PHY1025F : Physics for Health Science Students

PHY1031F is a first-year, first semester, algebra-based introductory course for Science students who do not intend proceeding to second-year courses in Physics. Some calculus may be used.

PHY1032F is a first semester introductory course for Science students who do not intend proceeding to second-year courses in Physics. PHY1032S and PHY1032F are equivalent.

PHY1032S is a first-year, non-calculus introductory course for Science students who do not intend proceeding to second-year courses in Physics.

PHY2004W : Intermediate Physics

PHY2004W is a second-year course, aimed primarily at students who are majoring in physics.

PHY2010S : Electromagnetism for Engineers

PHY2010S is a course on electromagnetism for second year electrical engineers.

PHY3004W is the third-year advanced Physics course for students majoring in Physics.

EEE4101F / EEE4103F : Nuclear Physics for Nuclear Power Eng.

EEE4101F (Nuclear power engineering) and EEE4103F (Nuclear power sources) are first semester courses for 4th year engineering students. They contain an introduction to the nuclear physics concepts used in nuclear power engineering.

EEE4106Z : Introductory Nuclear Physics for Nuclear Power

EEE4106Z (Introductory Nuclear Physics and Radiation for Power Supply) is a first semester course in the postgraduate courses (EH007/EEE008, EM017/EEE008, and EM027/EEE008) on Nuclear Power. It is an introduction to the nuclear physics concepts used in nuclear power engineering.

EEE4109Z : Theory and Design of Nuclear Reactors

EEE4109Z (Theory and Design of Nuclear Reactors) is a second semester course in the postgraduate courses (EH007/EEE008, EM017/EEE008, and EM027/EEE008) on Nuclear Power.
